Monitoring
An important task in nature conservation work is to follow up on whether management actions are having the intended effect or even if the management is being implemented. It is also important to monitor the development of flora and fauna in different ecosystems and how they have been affected by various environmental factors such as land use, succession, invasive species, etc.
Pro Natura has worked for many decades with monitoring in nature reserves and other valuable sites. We have developed methods for how monitoring in protected areas should be carried out, and conducted many monitoring surveys to help us understand what is happening in our ecosystems.
